Achieve a passing grade of 75% on the written knowledge assessment.

Attend and participate in the entire course.

A one-day basic course that provides lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. The course meets provincial and territorial legislative requirements for workplace safety and insurance and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

This course is divided into 2 parts:
online and in class

  • The first part ($50.61), online (non-refundable), lasting 4 hours, must be completed before the second in-person part. You will receive your online training on Friday, 3 weeks before your in-person training, if it is scheduled more than a month away. Otherwise, on the Friday after your registration.

  • The second part ($39.34), in-person, lasting 4 hours, must be completed within 6 weeks of the online training.

    Upon completion of your registration, you will receive a link from the Red Cross 3 weeks before your in-person date to begin your online course at your own pace (follow the instructions provided in the email).

     

    Upon successful completion of the online component, you will receive a certificate of completion, indicating the 45-day deadline you have to complete the in-person course (Part 2) and obtain your certification, which is valid for three years.
