enables workers to handle, store, and dispose of certain
products safely.
All workers in contact with hazardous materials must take this course.
WHMIS 2015 is the standard for workplace hazard communication in Canada. Employers must provide workers with basic WHMIS training in addition to specific training related to their workplace. The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) is a standard that adopts uniform criteria for hazard classification and standardizes the content and format of labels and safety data sheets used worldwide. WHMIS 2015 is a course that includes an introduction to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, which is currently being adopted in Canada.
