Target Audience: The course is designed for those who work in wilderness environments (three hours or more from any medical facility) in challenging environments that may involve varying levels of risk and require specific skills to ensure their own safety and the safety of others (serving as a professional guide). It is intended for those who wish to become professional guides or park rangers or who work in the recreation or ecotourism field.
Success criteria:
Admission requirements: Be 16 years of age or older and in good health and physical condition.
Certification: This course leads to a Wilderness First Aid with CPR-C certificate valid for three years. A digital certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course.

.The Wilderness First Aid course provides lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, in addition to techniques needed to prepare for, prevent injuries, and promote the safety of those living or working in remote areas or wilderness environments. Emphasis will be placed on strengthening leadership skills, assessment, decision-making, and strategies for providing extended care of up to 24 hours. Special attention will be paid to prevention, health, and group well-being. Part of the course is held outdoors and requires participants to have greater endurance and physical fitness than typical first aid training.
