RCR A: 13 hours in class OR 5.5 hours in class + 8 hours online learning*

Standard First Aid Course – Online Access

Standard First Aid Certificate (electronic certificate issued at the end of the course)

A comprehensive two-day course that teaches lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills. This course is designed for individuals who require first aid training to meet professional requirements or those who want to acquire the knowledge to respond to home emergencies. The courses meet provincial and territorial legislative requirements for workplace safety and insurance. They provide the latest first aid and CPR guidelines and techniques.

This course is divided into two parts: online and in-class

  • The first part ($74.34), online (non-refundable), lasting 8 hours must be completed before the second part in class. You will receive your online training on Friday, 3 weeks before your in-person training, if it is scheduled in more than a month. Otherwise, the Friday after your registration.
 
  • The second part ($62.61), in class, lasting 8 hours must be completed within 6 weeks of the online training.
 

Once your registration is complete, you will receive a link from the< Red Cross, 3 weeks before your in-person date to begin your online course at your own pace (follow the instructions provided in the email).

Upon successful completion of the online component, you will receive a certificate of completion, recording the 45-day timeframe you have to complete the in-class course (Part 2) and obtain your certification, which is valid for three years.
