Regular Strength TYLENOL contains acetaminophen, the active ingredient which works to relieve mild to moderate pain.
Acetaminophen is considered an excellent choice because it is not likely to cause stomach irritation or interact with prescription medications. TYLENOL is widely used to treat pain due to:
- Fever
- Headaches (migraine and tension headaches)
- Arthritis
- Muscle aches and sprains
- Menstrual cramps
Dosage: Adults (12 years and older): 1-2 tablets every 4 hours as required. It is hazardous to exceed 12 Regular Strength tablets.
Medicinal ingredient: Acetaminophen
Regular Strength TYLENOL contains 325 mg of acetaminophen.
Nonmedicinal ingredients: cellulose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycolate.
Caution: Keep out of the reach of children. This package contains enough medication to seriously harm a child. If fever persists for more than 3 days or pain for more than 5 days, consult a doctor. Use only as directed by a doctor. As with any other pain medicine, consult a doctor before use: -with other products containing acetaminophen, salicylates or any other pain or fever medicine -in persons with serious kidney or liver disease -if you are pregnant or nursing a baby. Chronic heavy alcohol users may be at increased risk of liver damage when taking more than the recommended dose of acetaminophen.
Do not use in children under 12 years of age. Do not take this product if allergic to acetaminophen. If rash or itching occur, talk to a doctor.
